Your authentic safari stay

The house sits in an elevated position in the middle of the conservancy. Our rooms, made with local materials, and built in a very organic way, nestle unobtrusively into the landscape.

Inside, we've put lots of charming touches, but kept it really simple to make the most of the extensive views out

The Heart of Lewa House

Arrive at a gathering place shaped by history, hospitality
and the rhythm of safari life.

The Main House

*Welcoming guests for generations,* the Main House is the center of life at Lewa House — a warm, thatched space where days begin, stories are shared, and evenings unfold around a glowing fire.

It’s open design, comfortable communal areas, and sweeping views create an atmosphere reminiscent of the early days of African safaris, where travellers came together to reflect on the landscape and the adventures of the day.

Here, guests gather for sundowners, family-style dinners, and unhurried conversations that often become the most cherished memories of their stay. It’s an authentic expression of the safari tradition — relaxed, intimate, and deeply connected to the place.

Where Sustainability
Meets Comfort

The accommodation at Lewa House comprises three thatched family cottages and four Earthpods — each designed to blend quietly into the landscape while offering comfort, privacy, and character. Built using natural materials and environmentally conscious methods, the rooms reflect Lewa’s philosophy of leaving space for wildlife and treading gently on the land.

Dining at Lewa

Meals at Lewa House are a reflection of the land around us.
From breakfasts enjoyed out on the conservancy to unhurried dinners in the garden, each dish is prepared with fresh, local ingredients — much of it from our own farm. Our kitchen team cooks with simplicity and care, creating flavourful meals that are shared in the warm, communal spirit that defines life here.

From Our Farm

Lewa began as a working farm, and that heritage remains at the heart of how we eat. Today we sustainably produce much of our own fruit, vegetables, milk, yoghurt, eggs and meat.

The result is food that is grown here on the land, or by the families who share it with us.
