Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is celebrated for its extraordinary biodiversity and pioneering approach to conservation. Wildlife encounters here include the Big Five, alongside East Africa’s largest population of black rhino, thriving lion prides, vast elephant herds, and more than 70 mammal and 500 bird species.
Lewa is also one of the best places to see the rare Northern Five — Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk and Beisa oryx — species found only north of the equator and in exceptional densities on Lewa.
